DESCRIPTION
Poznan tram opened in 1880 (initial horse tram) and it was electrified in 1898. The current tram network is articulated in 21 lines; some of these lines utilize a grade separated infrastructure (the so-called Poznanski Szybki Tramwaj/Poznan Fast Tram) which links the city centre to the northern suburbs. Fast Tram first section opened in 1997 (Most Teatralny-Osiedle Jana III Sobieskiego); it was extended in 2007 (Most Teatralny-Dworzec Zachodni).
