DESCRIPTION
Dessau tram opened in 1894 (initial gas tram) and from that date it has been continuosly in service; tram was electrified in 1901. The latest network extensions were completed in 1987 (Klughardtstrasse-Sportplatz), 2000 (Museum-Kleine Schaftrift) and 2002 (Kleine Schaftrift-Junkerspark).
The current network consists in 3 lines.
