DESCRIPTION
Parla tram opened on June 2007 (Parque Parla Est-Parla Centro-Poligono Industrial Ciudad de Parla); it was extended on September 2007 (Poligono Industrial Ciudad de Parla-Avenida Sistema Solar-Parque Parla Est). This circular route serves crucial urban polarities (such as the city centre, Commissioner of Police, health and cultural centers, shopping centers, etc.); it also connects some new suburbs with the city centre.
This tram line interchanges with the railway system at the existing railway station (at Parla Centro/Bulevar Norte) and at the future Parla Norte railway station (both served by Cercanias Madrid commuter rail service, line C4); relevant park&ride facilities are located along the track (total car places: ~ 4'500).
