DESCRIPTION Tver electric tram opened in 1901. The initial infrastructure consisted in metric gauge rails (1000 mm); during 1929-1930 it was converted to Soviet standard gauge rails (1524 mm). The tram service was suspended in 1941-1942 due to world war II. Many routes have been recently closed (in 1997, 1999, 2004 and 2014-2016).
The current tram network consists in 2 lines.
