DESCRIPTION
Antwerp transit network combines standard tram lines sections and premetro sections (partially underground). The first tram line opened in 1873 (horse tram) and it was totally electrified in 1902. The current tram/LRT network consists in 14 lines; Line 2, Line 3, Line 5, Line 6, Line 8, Line 9, Line 15 are partially underground (premetro/stadtbahn system).
