DESCRIPTION Dnipropetrovsk (third most populated town in Ukraine after the capital Kiev and Kharkiv) began the construction of its first metro line in 1982, as a part of a 3 lines planned network. The first section (Komunarivs'ka [renamed Pokrovs'ka in 2015]-Vokzal'na) opened only in 1995, later than the initial prediction (1990).
