DESCRIPTION Copenhagen driverless metro opened in 2002; the track is articulated in two radial lines (M1: Vanlose-Vestamager; M2: Vanlose-Lufthavnen/Airport, both partly on viaduct and partly ground level) converging in the city centre at Christianshavn stop; the 2 lines share a central section realized in bored deep tunnel (Christianshavn-Vanlose).
The metro network assures two important transfers to the existing railway network: Orestad (national trains), Norreport (regional trains). The crucial connection to the airport (Lergravsparken-Airport) opened on 28 September 2007.
