DESCRIPTION
Milan bases its public transport network on 3 heavy metro lines, integrated by ground level trams and modern LRT lines.
In addition to these main lines, there's also a complementary cable people-mover connecting S. Raffaele Hospital with metro M2 (Cascina Gobba stop), in the north-eastern part of the town. This automated single track people-mover (total track length: 700 m) is strictly integrated with metro M2 thanks to a direct footway (above the motorway) connecting the two systems. Both of the 2 stops (Cascina Gobba - ground level - and S. Raffaele -underground -) are located close to parking facilities, offering interesting modal interchange (metro/car) opportunities.
